Drew Scott is heralded as one of the most talented, exciting DJ/Producers to be involved in the UK’s house scene. At 24, he regularly holds his own alongside such stellar DJ names as Mark Knight, Steve Angello, Dirty South, and Roger Sanchez.
Drew has chalked off a myriad of the UK’s most celebrated house nights, holding residencies in various cities for the likes of Shuffle at the Plug in Sheffield, Lovefunky at the awesome Empire in Middlesbrough, Retro at Tall Trees and the massive Kissdafunk (recently voted 39th Best Club in the world by DJ Mag) in the UK, Mallorca, Ibiza & Dubai. He has also guested on the terrace of Amnesia for Cream, and at Eden for Glitz on the white isle.
Drew’s DJing style remains cutting edge with no set being like another. You can be assured he’ll play sublime sounds of the utmost quality, put together with his seamless mixing ability and immaculate timing. This, merged with his infectious energy and inimitable presence behind the decks, combine to create an electric party atmosphere.
His incredible natural talent was first recognised when Drew knocked back some fierce contenders to win the 2004 national 4Clubbers DJ competition. Since then he has appeared four times on Galaxy 105's NuBreed show, has done mixes for the Beat Radio show in Spain and was crowned best DJ at the 2006 bar and club awards in Leeds – an accolade which is voted for by the clubbing community of the city.
The production trail started in early 2006 as Drew began editing tracks to add to the exclusivity of his sets, and this enhanced the already natural step up to production that has followed. Drew now has a growing discography with releases on Whore House, Suesse and Cr2, arguably the UK's largest independent house label. His productions have been championed by Eddie Halliwell on his Radio 1 show, Lucien Foort on his Dutch BNN show and by various dj's including Roger Sanchez and Stonebridge. All this alongside setting up his own label, Wow Trax, which strongly moves into its fourth release this winter.
Always tipped as one to watch, Drew has begun fulfilling his expectation. With his undeniable desire to succeed and love of music, this young star's future is sure to include a bevy of revered productions and DJ set's that will see him set in the memory of both club land and house music history.
